The Alleged Death of Book Publishing (Again)

Here's another article predicting the end of the book business, pointing out the same problems in the industry that many others have already done so before.

Today's Publishers Lunch summarized the article accurately with this tidbit. "It's changing times in the book business for sure, but NY Magazine applies the cliched journalistic formula to make that into End Times."

It's like clockwork Mr. Lyons. One pesky mut comes in and predicts it every once in a while and wrong foots his or herself (when it turns out they where wrong). What do they do? They duck back into obscurity and wait for the next pesky mut to come round and play the broken record once again. Too bad I don't have any shorts to tell them to eat.

I have seen quite a few changes in the last year. Not all bad either; just different.
