Oh how I love Buffy, let me count the ways ... No, wait, someone else already has. :)
Whedon is innovation at its finest. I remember watching dvd special features in season 5, where Joss showed a scene from Graduation Day in season 3 in which Faith hinted at something that would happen 2 seasons later. The man had a plan. He knew where he wanted the show to go, and man, did he take it there.
I don't even like musicals and I could watch Once More with Feeling a million times over. I'm not crazy about a couple of the episodes on the top 25 list, but it has most of my favorites.
Any time I turn on the CW and see what's airing today, I suffer Buffy withdrawals.
Fun Fact--My daughter's name is Cordelia Carpenter. I picked Cordelia because of Shakespeare, but the fact that it was also a Buffy character helped to seal the deal with her father. Charisma Carpenter plays Cordelia--the last name coincidence was accidental.
Anyone recall the "I hate Cordelia" fanclub--ahhh memories.
Sigh. . .I miss Buffy, too! But, luckily I have every season on dvd, so i can, you know, have marathon mopey weekends whenever I'm having a super bad day.

Angel's "Smile Time" is one of my favorite Whedon episodes ever. Thank you, Jonathan, for bringing this list to my attention!

There's a recent Whedonverse roundup at Television Without Pity, too, but this one is superior, because it includes "The Zeppo."
My favorite Whedon show is Firefly, but the Buffy musical episode is one of the best things ever on TV.
Excellent.
Thanks for the link! I agree with almost the entire list wholeheartedly. Definitely listed my favorite eps.
The only substitution I'd probably make is the Firefly "Janestown" episode for "Objects in Space."
